What should I compare in a Linktop quotation?

Use the same packed goods and receiving point when comparing offers. For sea freight, state whether you need shared container space or a full container. Check these items in the written quotation:

Transport mode and route; for sea freight, the container requirement or LCL charging basis and minimum; for air or express, any divisor, rounding or minimum
Pickup and origin handling, destination port or terminal handling, and any onward delivery
Who handles export and import clearance, and which duties and taxes are included
Potential storage, inspection, waiting, size or special-handling charges and when each applies
How long the quotation is valid, the proposed schedule and the start and end of its timing
Separately agreed cargo insurance, product preparation and extra handling

Agree the shipment total, included services and contracting party in the written quotation before booking.

How much space do your cartons take?

Calculate carton volume in cubic metres (CBM). Use centimetres for the outside length, width and height.

Planning figure only; your quotation sets the charge. For LCL, give both total CBM and packed gross weight, and confirm the quoted charging basis and minimum.
