Which Southeast Asian destinations can I ask about?

Ask about dedicated lines to Southeast Asia. Ask about Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei. Ask the desk to confirm the current option for your destination and commodity.

Describe the mode you want to compare.

For Vietnam, ask about road, air, sea or express. For Thailand and Laos, ask about road, air or express. For Singapore and Indonesia, ask about sea or air. Name the exact destination when comparing modes.

For a road freight enquiry, define the pickup and delivery points, packing and the transport scope you need. Ask which delivery points and customs steps are included. For sea freight, distinguish container-to-port delivery from a requested address-delivery or sea DDP option. For air and express, give the packed weight, dimensions and full receiving address.

Separate transport from receiving instructions.

State whether the goods are going to a business address, nominated warehouse or other receiving point. Include booking references and delivery instructions when known. Check the receiving instructions for your nominated facility before arranging delivery.

Quote the responsibilities before booking.

Ask for cargo acceptance, the proposed route, charges at both ends, timing basis and quote validity. If you request DDP, confirm customs, duty, tax and delivery responsibilities for the exact shipment. Flag batteries, liquids or other special handling needs rather than assuming acceptance.

See FBA and warehousing or customs and agency enquiries for additional receiving and paperwork questions.

Start with the receiving point.

Send your cargo details and the options you want compared.
